藉由閱讀文學讀本，培養人文素養，提升閱讀能力，並且進而學習如何藉由分析文學作品而加強寫作能力。教師成績評量比例(期中30％，平時考30％，期末考40％) 尊重智慧財產權，請不要影印教科書。 This is an introductory course of Western literature designed to give students a better understanding of the Western cultural tradition and Western literature. This course aims to develop students’ interest in literature. Score Evaluation: Mid-term exam 30% Final-term exam 40% Quiz and paper 30% 1. 課程大綱(中)

這門課為西洋文學入門課程，藉由希臘羅馬神話故事以及聖經的文本閱讀，帶領學生瞭解西洋文學、文化以及藝術的起源。

課程大綱(英)

This course is mainly designed to introduce two mainstream traditions of western literature – "Greek and Roman Mythology" and "Bible Literature". Through the close reading of the early literary works, students will be guided to learn about the basic ideas of the origin of western culture and the development of western literature.
